With personally tailored Yin yoga, you'll experience more strength and flexibility in your body. On top of that, you'll experience Yin yoga as a gateway to connect with yourself and who you truly, fully are as a human being: your unique interplay of consciousness (deeper self/ soul/ spirit), heart, mind, emotions, and body. In connection with yourself, others, and your environment. In a moving balance. So that you can live from the inside out, expressing who you truly, fully are.

What is Yin yoga?
Yin yoga is a gentle and meditative form of yoga, based on ancient Chinese medicine and acupuncture (approximately 2500 BC). Yin yoga works like acupuncture without needles, using the contact pressure points your body creates with the ground through gravity.
Simply put, each Yin yoga posture uniquely stimulates the flow of life energy, also called "Qi," along energy pathways or "meridians" that run alongside specific organs in your body. These meridians are a.o. connected to the 5 elements of nature, the seasons, emotions, taste sensations, and colors.
We remain in a Yin yoga posture for about 3 to 5 minutes so it can work on the deeper tissues; the connective tissue and tendons surrounding your joints. This brings greater flexibility, strength, and stability for your body.
And another wonderful thing: Yin yoga works holistically, that is, with regard to the entire system of your being human; mentally, emotionally, physically, energetically, and spiritually. In other words, according to Yin yoga and the principles of Chinese medicine and acupuncture, you could say: when we are in balance, we feel good; when there's an imbalance somewhere, problems can arise.

How do I work?
Method & Rates
In a Yin Yoga Session, you’ll receive a series of Yin Yoga postures tailored to your unique body and any mental, emotional, physical, energetic, and/or spiritual problems, combined with 12 years of experience in holistic, personalized guidance. With each Yin Yoga posture, you’ll receive practical tools for a safe Yin Yoga practice, as well as soothing variations using cushions. We often begin the Session with meditation and end with a final relaxation. After the Session, you’ll receive a visual overview to take home with the Yin Yoga postures for your home practice. For guided meditations, you’ll receive the recording as an audio download.
Rate for a Yin Yoga 1:1 Session: €180, including 21% VAT. (*) Sessions last approximately 60 minutes. (More time if desired; 75 mins. 90 mins. or 120 mins. will be charged. If you would like more time or the option to extend your Session, please indicate this when booking your appointment to facilitate planning.) Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Layering can be helpful depending on the season. Bring your own yoga mat; cushions are provided.
I work without lengthy waiting lists, intakes, diagnostic, or treatment processes. You can make an appointment directly by mentioning “Yin Yoga Session”. When booking, please indicate your mental, emotional, physical, energetic, and/or spiritual ailments for which you would like the Yin Yoga Session.

For whom?
The Yin yoga Sessions are suitable for both beginners and advanced Yin Yoga practitioners of all ages: adults, teenagers, and children. You don't need to be flexible.
Yin Yoga Sessions can be experienced separately or combined with one or more of the other types of Sessions, such as: an insightful conversation to deeply reflect about a certain theme, life question, or problem; holistic nutritional advice; body-oriented attunement from the heart and a deeper understanding of your body language; dance and movement; developing or enriching Mindfulness and compassion skills combined with holistic guidance tailored to your needs; and much more.

About me & Yin yoga
After completing my Yin yoga training with founder Sarah Powers (2016, Spain), I lovingly embraced Yin yoga and uniquely integrated it into my holistic vision and method “Being fully yourself!”. I guided many Yin yoga Sessions and group sessions from my own private practice (2016 - present). Besides, I also taught Yin yoga classes for a while (for Yogaplace Maastricht, Dance Company Sally, 2016 - 2018).
In-person & online:
Yin Yoga Sessions are at my practice in the heart of Sittard-Geleen, near Zuyderland Hospital and the A2 highway. Sessions are often also Online via Zoom. For an Online Yin Yoga Session, please ensure you have enough space for a yoga mat and some pillows on hand to support your body in the Yin Yoga poses.
It’s both just as good. Here you can book your Session and indicate your preference.

Did you know this?
Yin yoga complements yang (more active) forms of movement such as Yang yoga, walking, running, dancing, cycling, swimming, etc. Yang forms of movement primarily work on the muscles. Yin forms of movement primarily work on the deeper lying tissues: the connective tissue and tendons around your joints. This brings more strength and flexibility.
For good health and balance, it's best to practice both forms of movement.

— Is reimbursement possible? Yes, reimbursement is possible by the employer. I often provide a quote in the name of the employer for 3 Sessions (more/ less in consultation). After approval of the quote by the employer and agreement of the session dates with you, the invoice will be made in the name of the employer. Freely request a quote here.
Yin yoga Sessions are not reimbursed by the health insurer. I work independently with a unique and powerful holistic vision & method personally tailored to your needs. Without the need for lengthy waiting lists, intakes, diagnosis and treatment trajectories. More information can be found above under 'how do I work?'.
— New - For people living on or below the Dutch social minimum income, there are sometimes a few Session spots available at a reduced rate. If this applies to you and you can't make an appointment for financial reasons, you can request a spot by sharing your request for help, motivation, and financial situation. Request a Session spot here.
— I am taking medication, can I make an appointment? Yes, the use of medication (e.g. sleeping pills, antidepressants, anti-anxiety drugs) is not an obstacle to a Session.
